These are my HARRIS genealogical pages. I began researching my maiden name in 1989 hoping to discover something about my father's family since he had no knowledge whatsoever of his roots. According to the 1881 Census my great grandfather Thomas HARRIS was born in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire c1850 but it took me 20 years before I finally followed all the clues correctly. Sadly my father died in 2005 and was unable to share my delight when I finally when I unravelled the tale his father's mystery half-sister, Kate.
